- qualification from the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Japan
- 3rd dan in bojitsu. Practises aikido since 1980
- Has lived in Japan for 12 years where he attended aikido courses under the direction of Hikitsuchi Michio Sensei (10th dan) as well as of Anno Sensei (8th dan) in the Kumano Juku Dojo
- Leads trainings in Australia , Northern Europe and California.
